Fruit punch

Lemon Juice- 1 cup
Pineapple cubes - 1/4 cup
Orange wedges- 1/2 cup
Grapes cut in half- 1/4 cup
Sugar syrup- 1/2 cup
Ice cold water- 1/2 quart
Pinch of salt

Mix all together and let sit in refrigerator for 2 hrs. 
Serve with ice cubes and wedges.  

Beets keerai poriyal

Roughly chopped beet leaves - 1 cup
Shallots-2
Red chillies-2
U.dal-1 tsp
Mustard seeds- 1 tsp
oil- 1 tsp

Temper with Mustard, dal and red chillies and a puff of hing. Saute shallots finely chopped followed by beet leaves. 

Ridgegourd Bhudith

Ingredients:

One Ridgegourd,
 3 shallots
 2 tomatoes,
 8 Red Chillies
 a small tamarind piece
few curry leaves and coriander leaves
a pinch of asafoetida,

Pressure cook. Grind it to a coarse consistency. Temper as usual.
