Murungai Keerai Rasam/Drumstick Leaves Soup

In a pressure pan cook 2 tbsp. of toor dal, 2 ripe tomatoes, 4 pods of garlic,  1 green chilli, Pepper - 1 tbsp and cumin seeds -1 tsp crushed with salt and drumstick leaves -2 handsful. Pressure cook for 1 whistle. Open when all the pressure is released, you may add water to get a clear soup consistency. Check salt and spice to suit your taste. Just add a tsp of lime juice before serving. This can be had as soup as it is. Helps relieve cold and congestion.  You can reduce the spice and add it to rice cereal to kids or in mashed rice also to get the wholesome nutrition.

Dynamite Shrimps

Make batter with 2 tbsp. of corn starch, salt and pepper.
Coat Shrimps with the batter and deep fry them.
Make a dipping sauce with 1/2 cup of mayonnaise, 1 tbsp. rice vinegar, hot chilli sauce-sriracha, some lime juice. Serve as a starter.
