Simple Fried Rice



Boil and drain basmati rice in a salted water. I add 1 cinnamon stick, 1cardamom, few curry leaves and 4 cloves to the water. Pick out the spices and set aside.

Cut all the veggies. In a wok or big pan, heat 2 tbsp butter add 2 tbsp grated ginger, chopped garlic, white part of onions, all veggies preferably carrot, French beans, cabbage, peas,mushroom, broccoli etc., a pinch of sugar to retain the color and crispness of the veggies, add chilli sauce and soy sauce and stir, mix the rice, add white pepper powder. Garnish with green onions.
